Error codes

If you play rijonAdventures for the first time, you may come across an error code. In most cases, these errors render your game unplayable. This page provides solutions in fixing these errors. It is best to ensure that you are never presented with errors as well, so before playing, it's best to read through this page.

Error codes are 5 digits long, and will usually be presented with an explanation about the error.

This page displays error codes that are only relevant to rijonAdventures. rijonAdventures will link to the standard error codes page in the event that there is an error.

Error code Issue Solution

00001

The game cannot identify backup memory that supports Flash 128K. This error affects hacks based off Pokémon FireRed, LeafGreen and Emerald.

Users of devices such as M3 should ensure that their save memory is set to use 128K memory. If the device does not support these functions, a different, more recent device may be necessary.

ROM users who use VisualBoyAdvance to play rijonAdventures should go to the "Options" menu, select "Emulator", select "Save Type" and tick "Flash 128K".

gpSP does not support rijonAdventures by default. It is, however, possible to get it to run on gpSP. Look here for help.

00003

Unable to save the game.

Refer to code 00001.

00005

Communication error when using a Link Cable or using a Wireless Adapter.

Ensure that, if you're using Game Boy Advance Link Cable, that it is connected properly. If using Emerald, the National Pokédex is required before transfer to FireRed and LeafGreen is enabled.

If this occurs when you enter a Union Room or access any wireless functions, ensure a wireless adapter is connected to your Game Boy Advance or Game Boy Advance SP, or that the wireless adapter for the Game Boy Micro is connected. Wireless functions are not supported if you are using emulation (on normal versions of VisualBoyAdvance) or through the use of a Nintendo DS.

00006

The main save file has been corrupted. Previous save data has been loaded.

Ensure that the save options are set to the options as shown for code 00001. Remove the save data for the appropriate ROM and create a new file.

Note: This error may appear if you are using a Flash cartridge regardless of any settings used. If this is the case, you may ignore this error.
